Who I am:

I'm a photography geek. I've considered a great many other ways to label myself - enthusiast, hobbyist, amateur, semi-professional... but geek seems to encapsulate me the best. So that's what I'm running with.

To expand on that:

I love digital photography. It seems to offer a blend of technophilia, creativity, and get-out-there-and-do-stuff that just hits all my buttons. What other hobby can unify a day hike through gorgeous landscapes, high tech equipment, and messing around all day on a computer and the internet under a single umbrella?

I'll shoot anything, anyone, anywhere, anytime. I love all subjects and styles. Some more than others, but I never turn down an opportunity to point my camera and click the shutter, if I think it'll make an interesting photo.

Photos, for your viewing pleasure. And buying pleasure. Money helps me buy equipment and travel to places to take ever more wonderful photographs for your enjoyment. Smugmug (my host) has great customer service and the prints look way more fantastic than they do on a computer screen. Plus, if you buy a print from me, you have something pretty to hang on your wall. Which is something that I enjoy offering. Everyone wins!
